The symposium MEIS gives a unique venue where mathematicians, CG researchers, and those who work in industry gather to share and discuss their contemporary issues and future collaborative projects.
The previous symposiums in the series (MEIS2013, MEIS2014, and MEIS2015) were a great success with a variety of subjects such as character deformation/animation, spherical harmonic lighting, fluid control, visual illusion, topology, dynamical system, and differential geometry, as well as the outstanding invited speakers in mathematics, computer graphics, vision, and digital production industry.
The paper submissions will be peer-reviewed by the international program committee of MEIS2016.
We welcome original research papers or surveys from academia/industries. The papers relevant to the interaction between mathematics and CG would be desired, but not mandatory. Any topic that the authors believe attracts the attendees of MEIS2016 is appreciated. In addition we’ll be grateful to have case-study papers from industry, which describe the project/product that have a close relation with the development in mathematics and/or CG as well as more expectations on their future.
All accepted papers will be included in the conference proceedings, published as a volume of Mathematics-for-Industry Lecture Notes series, Kyushu University. The best papers will be invited to be included in the MEIS book series published by Springer.
